Management

Key shareholders and management of the Company comprise a highly experienced team with backgrounds in manufacturing and distribution, mining, finance and accounting, banking and transportation.


Most importantly, the team, being entirely Asian based, has collectively several decades of experience in the region and enjoys strong relationships with key local players in markets such as Indonesia and the Philippines which will be the growth drivers for the next 5 years.

Management is based out of Los Angeles with regional offices in Indonesia.

Jan Verkade (Director) has over 28 years of experience in international business, including, most recently, responsibility for running a global manufacturing and distribution business with operations in China, Brazil and Europe. Also highly experienced in trading, with a particular focus on precious metals. Graduate diploma in business (MBA) from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.

Justin Simpson (CFO) has over 12 years international banking experience, most recently as Vice President with Daiwa Securities in Hong Kong, specialising in structured debt financing, and formerly Merrill Lynch Hong Kong, equity and debt capital markets. Speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.

Michael Bue (Advisor, Mining Operations) is a geological engineer with 35 years experience in metallurgical mining and related activities. He holds a Mining Engineering degree from University of Saskatchewan, Canada and a Master of Engineering (Mineral Economics) from McGill University, Montreal. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and qualified to act as a Competent Person within JORCC and as a Qualified Person under NI 43-101 (Canada).


Brett Morley (Director) has experience in options and derivatives trading with over 15 years in the US and Australian markets. He's also been involved in starting up and managing small businesses enterprises in Japan and Australia. His primary occupation is as an International Airline Pilot, where he is a Senior Training Captain responsible for training and testing airline flight crew. He was also the Deputy Chief Pilot of this firm from 2011-2014 where he was responsible for managing over 1800 flight crew, until he stepped back from this role to pursue other business interests.

Grace Sarendatu (Director, Indonesian Operations) is a well recognized and politically active local notary and attorney in Manado who has extensive experience in the mining industry over the past 25 years, including negotiating joint venture and farm out agreements on behalf of both local and foreign entities. Grace leads an experienced team, including geologist, mining engineer, chemical engineer and key operators and workers, many of whom were previous employees of Newmont Mining in Ratatotock.


Nicholas Medway (Director) has worked in a number of public and private sector roles since 1995, including a senior technical role in a large telecommunications company prior to joining the RAAF as a commissioned officer and pilot serving until 2000. Since this time he has largely worked within senior ranks of federal law enforcement, specialising in criminal and regulatory compliance. Mr Medway has extensive experience in management, moving on from his role as a CEO in the private sector, to enforcement director of Border Force Australia.
